Construction Materials Quality Assurance and Control
The following pictures show some good examples of why a Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) management system is essential in any manufacturing process.
Proper material storage and preservation is an important aspect in ensuring quality material delivery to the customers and it should not be neglected.
In material manufacturing, people tend to focus more on the quality control and testing during the manufacturing process. Once the materials passed the final quality check, people tend to forget the requirements for proper storage and preservation especially when the materials will be kept as spares for sometimes.
Different materials require different preservation requirements to prevent corrosion or degradation due to the environment. This includes special coating application, nitrogen blanketing, greasing, storage room temperature control, humidity control, moisture absorber such as the use of desiccants etc.
